Emery - 18 months

My littlest girl, you are officially 18 months old!  You are now 31" tall (24th percentile) and 21 lb. 12 oz. (38th percentile) You have changed so much since your 12 month update.

Things you love:

• Your stuffed kitty and hippo you sleep with every night
• Swinging on the playset Santa brought you and your sister
• Doing forward rolls. When you finish you say "Tada!"
• Your puppy dogs. You walk up and pat them and give them kisses all day long
• Eating. You eat more than your older sister at every meal
• Baths. You scream when we make you get out.
• Wearing your sister's necklaces and sunglasses 
• Taking walks in the wagon

Things you dislike:

• Socks. You take them off the minute you get a chance
• Hairbows. I try my hardest to get you to wear them, but you just aren't feeling it.
• Being told no. You have become VERY sassy!

You are (for the most part) a super easygoing kid. You are also incredibly sweet. If Caroline is crying, you pat her back and give her a big hug without anyone telling you to. You have made our lives so much richer and more fun. I cannot imagine life without my Emmie bug!

Five on Friday - Post Surgery Edition!

I am posting with one hand since I had my surgery yesterday, so let's see how I do!

1. So, I had a repair done on my cubital nerve yesterday, and so far so good! The surgeon said the surgery went as well as could be, and right now the hardest part is having my arm in a hard splint and sling. I know when I am fully recovered it will be SO worth it though. Caroline has been so sweet being my little "nurse", bringing me water and ice packs.

2. Caroline had gymnastics again last Saturday, and look at this girl being a rockstar on the balance beam!

3. I made the easiest vegetable beef soup this week! Recipe here.

 

4. We have family pictures coming up soon, and I snagged these adorable tops from zulily yesterday! I love that they are the same hue but not matching for the girls. You can sign up for free to zuliliy here.
