Five on Friday: it's Easter!

Whew. I am ready for Easter! We've got an egg hunt at church in the morning, and then, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny himself on Sunday, and then no more holidays until....Memorial Day? I love a good holiday, and my girls make it SO much fun, but these class parties are wearing me out lately!

__one__ Speaking of class parties, Daniel has been picking the girls up at school the past week or so, and failed to sign us up for the class party. So when I went to pick up the girls Monday, all that was left was sandwiches in Caroline's room and broccoli and carrots in Emmie's. I made the most of it and made the cutest sandwiches using butterfly, bunny, and egg cookie cutters. Caroline was so proud and made sure her whole class knew SHE brought them.

__two__ This kid. She is so sassy and sweet. And she never leaves her stuffed kitty at home.

__three__ Before Toys 'R Us stopped accepting coupons and rewards points, I scored the best finds for the girls Easter baskets. They won't fit in the baskets, but I like to get them one larger item that sits behind their baskets. The t-ball set ended up being around $13. The Toys R' Us website is closed for business now, but Amazon has it at a comparable price.

__four__ I've got eggs boiling right now, and I can't wait to dye them with the girls tomorrow morning. I like to wait until right before Easter to dye eggs, so they are super fresh when I make deviled eggs on Easter. Last year, I used my whisk hack to dye eggs. Instead of using the cheap egg holder that are in the kits, just try a whisk! It's so much easier for my girls to handle and ends up being less messy.

Five on Friday: One Month Until Easter

Affiliate links used in post.

It's offically (less than) one month until Easter! Every night, Caroline and I update her daily calendar and she asked me last night how many days until Easter. We counted to 30 together, and she exclaimed "That's going to take forever!". I know in her eyes, it seems so far away, but it will be here before we know it!

__one__ Speaking of Easter, my girls are hopefully going to love these gardening tools. We always plant a vegetable garden in the summer, and last year they decided their hands were better than any gardening tools that we owned. To eliminate some of the dirt this year, I'm hoping these kid sized tools will do the trick. I love having them participate in the garden, because it seems like they more readily will eat the vegetables when they've had a chance to help them grow. We usually plant okra, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and peppers. I'm thinking of trying green beans this year too!

__two__ Daniel went golfing Sunday, and I was left with the girls all day. I really was hoping they'd take a nice long nap so I could get some cleaning done, but Emmie REFUSED to take a nap all day. Then, she crashed on the floor right before dinner.

__three__ Something else fun I'm putting in my girls Easter baskets this year are these princess dolls. I actually ordered Rapunzel and Ariel, before realizing someone had given Caroline the exact Rapunzel doll for her birthday! Luckily, I was able to exchange for a Belle doll and the crisis was averted.

__four__ Emmie has become obsessed with sunglasses lately, and I couldn't help but snap a pic of her with her crooked glasses this past weekend. She is such a goofball!

__five__ This past week was Dr. Seuss week at school, and Caroline's favorite day was Wacky Wednesday. It took everything inside me to contain my OCD and let her wear mismatched clothes to school.

Have a great weekend!
