Five on Friday: 2 Month Hiatus

__one__ So....I've been missing from blogging for almost two months. We've been busy searching for a new home, selling our home, packing, and oh, yeah, I've also been exhausted in my first trimester of pregnancy. Yup, that's right. We are about to be the Jackson 5. I'm 13 weeks along and finally starting to feel a little bit like my old self....other than the exhaustion from taking care of a 4 year old, 2 year old, working full time, and packing up a house. But yeah, pretty much back to my old self.

The picture above was taken by my beautiful and talented 4 year old. Thus the awkward angle and off-centerness. Bless her heart for trying though. Side note: apparently when you're pregnant with your third you look twice as far along as you actually are. If one more person asks if I'm having twins I may hurt them.

__two__ Since we apparently don't have enough going on right now, I signed Caroline up for swim lessons. It's only a 4 week class, and the last one is this Saturday. I've already seen an improvement in her confidence, and she isn't as scared to get the water in her eyes now.

__three__ Emery just can't stand to not be participating in all these activities, so I caved and signed her up for gymnastics even though I originally told her she had to learn to go to the bathroom on the toilet before she could start. There is no end in sight for the pull-ups...so it was just easier to let them both take gymnastics at the same time. They are in separate classes but get to have interaction with each other on the floor occasionally. Caroline makes sure her sister has a pep talk anytime she sees her out there, and tells her "Keep practicing, sissy. One day you'll be as good as me". She's also incredibly modest.

__four__ It is bittersweet that we are selling the home we have loved the past four years. We moved in when Caroline was 6 months old, and its where we brought Emery home from the hospital. We have so many good memories here, but I know once the baby comes we are going to need more room. We have one more month to enjoy it before we move.

__five__ With everything that's been going on in our lives, I finally caved and decided to try Hello Fresh. Full disclosure - it's a bit out of my price range of what I'd like to spend on dinner. However, it is still cheaper than eating out and wonderful for a pinch on a hectic night where I don't have time to think about what I want to make. The other night I made sweet and spicy glazed pork tenderloin with smashed potatoes and apple/carrot slaw. It was the best pork tenderloin I've ever made.

My portions are tiny because I still wasn't feeling like eating a whole lot up until a few days ago....thanks pregnancy nausea!

You can get $40 off your first order HERE.  Full disclosure - I get a referral discount for every referral too. Their classic plan has 3 meal delivery for 2 people for $60 - so you can essentially get 3 meals for $20 and not have to grocery shop. You can also cancel at any time. I don't think I would pay full price for it every week, but it is nice when you know you have a lot going on and just want someone to plan dinner for you and deliver your groceries.
